Biography

Virginie WOJTAS was born in Paris on July 01, 1980, she is the third daughter of a French family with Polish origins. She grew up in an environment where artistic culture was little considered and would constitute her life force later.

From her childhood, Virginie was blessed with a thirst for creativity and explored different mediums to express herself. Encouraged and supported by her parents, she developed a passion for sports dance and writing. It’s a way for her to discover her inner world and share her emotions. Until adolescence, dance remained her preferred mode of expression. She is passionate about the alchemy between the technicality of the step and the sensation of movement; simple in appearance but complex in execution.

She undertakes studies in the health and social field because she likes to support and guide the Individual. Her position as manager and trainer in a large ready-to-wear brand continues to enrich her and develops in her an empathy towards the Human. In addition to her work, Virginie chooses a new medium of expression, painting.

Her first work, Patricia, symbolizes her mother who influences her sensitivity to the feminine and maternal bond. His intention is to merge painting and Soul. Then she begins a series of personal interpretations of pointillism with a self-portrait. Many abstract paintings represent his friends and become a ritual, certainly referring to implicit autobiographical situations.

Lately, the artist explores new lands where certain sociocultural unsaid are denounced.
